Profile: Michael Spencer has over 25 years senior management experience in the private and public sectors. He has worked in the areas of housing, facilities management, community development and health care.
In 2000 Michael created the Spencer Group, Authentic Workplace Solutions, operating from Halifax Nova Scotia. The mission of The Spencer Group is to assist organizations to ‘ create supportive, open work environments where the Spirit flourishes and creativity is honoured.’ This allows owners and managers to maximize their organizations’ potential and bring a truly competitive advantage to the marketplace.
Through facilitation, mediation and coaching Michael has supported clients through organizational change, strategic planning/ direction, communication processes, along with leadership and team development.
Michael has facilitated meetings using Open Space Technology and the tenets of the Genuine Contact™ Program since 2002.
In addition to being a facilitator and trainer in the Genuine Contact™ Program Michael possess a certifiction as a mediator and serves as a coach and evaluator in the Negotiation and Conflict Management Programme, Dalhousie University. Michael is a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and has a degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
Michael Is interested in Life Long Learning and has served on a variety of community-based and professional organizations over past 20 years.
