Profile: Ann Boman is a management consultant and gender expert who offers professional support for development of operations, leadership and staff.
Experience
I have been promoting development in one form or another for the past 25 years. My jobs have included heading both government inquiries and inquiries at the Swedish Centre for Working Life, acting as a special adviser and project manager at the Swedish Government Offices, and working as an organisational consultant at an IT-company
How I work
I have been on the consultancy market since 1992 to assist assists public, private and voluntary organisations in their efforts both to improve their operations and to enhance staff skills on an ongoing basis. A gender perspective is a connecting thought in most assignments.
"You can’t develop people, they can only develop themselves".
For me, the basic principle is that we are all creative people who wish to develop and to shoulder responsibility. I adopt a process-oriented approach using modern educational methods to enhance your change skills and your ability to act.
I am thorough in ensuring the quality of my assignments by regularly updating my own range of skills and my working methods.
Together, we formulate your needs and how my input can facilitate achievement of your goals. I help create the potential for development and have many tools at my disposal for this purpose.
Services
I provide a wide range of services – from individual seminars to extended periods of project management. Selection of services:
New approaches to gender equality promotion
Can I rely on services provided from your organisation to be as accessible, of the same high quality and of equal benefit whether I am a woman or a man? The quality and efficiency of your operation needs to be improved with the aid of a gender perspective. Do you need support to review your operations?
Organisational development
Support for leadership development, working groups and their operations. Services offered include inspiration and support in development work.
Creative meeting procedures
Do senior executives, supervisors and project managers need to make better use of staff creativity and experience? Meetings and conferences can be creative forums where the participants are co-creators rather than passive listeners. I provide training for trainers, consultants and management staff in creative meeting procedures.
